Battery–inverter compatibility: what must match

Compatibility has two layers: electrical limits and communication. A battery may share the nominal voltage yet still fail to report SOC, alarms or charge limits correctly. Confirm both sides by exact model and firmware before purchase.

Evidence before promises

Reference guidance only. Final specifications, compatibility, certifications and market obligations are confirmed for the exact model and destination.

Configuration review

A practical checklist for matching LiFePO4 batteries with hybrid and off-grid inverters.

01

Electrical window

Battery charge/discharge voltage and current must remain inside inverter limits.

02

Communication

CAN or RS485 protocol, pinout and termination must match.

03

Operating logic

Startup, shutdown, low-temperature charge block and parallel operation need validation.

04

Evidence

Use a test record or current manufacturer statement, not an old generic list.

What we confirm before quoting

  • Confirm the exact model—not only the brand or series.
  • Record firmware, protocol and parameter versions.
  • Keep evidence with the purchase and change history.
  • Revalidate when a component, supplier or destination changes.

What LithVolt can support

Battery PACK engineering and assembly, matched inverters and chargers, solar and protection components, documentation coordination, pilot builds and export delivery. Cell and accessory sources are disclosed and controlled per project where relevant.
