Fishing boat on a quiet lake

MARINE ENERGY / FISHING BOATS

Quiet power. Longer days afloat.

Purpose-built LiFePO₄ systems for fishing boats: separate house loads, trolling motors and electric propulsion, then engineer charging, protection and installation around the vessel.

REAL LOADS, SEPARATE CIRCUITS

One boat. Three very different energy jobs.

01

House & electronics

Fishfinders, chartplotters, VHF, livewell, bilge pumps, lighting, USB and refrigeration need a dependable service bank.

02

Trolling motor

A dedicated deep-cycle bank delivers quiet positioning without risking the engine-start reserve.

03

Electric propulsion

Higher-voltage propulsion requires vessel-level load, cooling, control and reserve analysis—not a larger house battery.

REFERENCE CONFIGURATIONS

Match voltage to the motor—not the other way around.

These are practical starting points for early sizing. Final capacity and discharge current follow the exact motor, duty cycle, boat weight and operating conditions.

SEND THIS CONFIGURATION →

Keep engine-start, essential navigation and trolling/house banks separated unless an approved architecture says otherwise.

Planning estimate only. Final BMS, cable, fuse, charger and inverter settings must be checked against exact equipment data and local rules.

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE

Charge safely from every available source.

A marine system is more than a battery. Each source and load needs the correct voltage path, isolation, overcurrent protection and service access.

Protected marine battery installation

Shore power

A lithium-compatible charger or inverter/charger manages the correct profile while docked.

Engine charging

An isolated DC-DC charger protects the alternator and controls current between start and service banks.

Solar MPPT

A correctly sized MPPT adds quiet daytime charging without replacing proper shore or engine charging.

Marine installation essentials

  • Keep start, house and trolling functions appropriately separated.
  • Secure the pack against shock and movement in a dry, serviceable compartment.
  • Use marine-grade cable, covered terminals and a fuse or breaker close to the source.
  • Specify a disconnect, corrosion protection and correct cable ampacity.
  • Confirm BMS low-temperature charging behavior and peak current.
  • Validate grounding, isolation and applicable ISO, ABYC or local vessel rules.

SELECTION WORKFLOW

Size from a day on the water.

List every load

Record voltage, watts or amps, daily hours and simultaneous operation.

Confirm the motor

Use the exact motor voltage, maximum draw and manufacturer protection requirement.

Define recharge windows

Check shore power, alternator data, solar area and time between trips.

Audit the compartment

Measure space, ventilation, cable routes, moisture exposure and mounting points.

WORKED EXAMPLE

A 24 V trolling motor and 12 V electronics should normally use separate banks. A 25.6 V 100 Ah trolling pack provides 2.56 kWh nominal energy, while a dedicated 12.8 V service pack protects navigation and starting reliability.

OEM / ODM ENGINEERING

Built around the boat, market and duty cycle.

We can develop sealed enclosures, BMS limits, communications, cable sets and documentation for boat builders, distributors and fleet operators.
